Manfredini Continues to Take the Intimidation Out of Your Relationship with Your Home
HouseSmarts TV celebrates it’s 200th episode airing the week of September 8. For the past 12 years, the 30-minute nationally-syndicated show has been and continues to be hosted by home improvement expert Lou Manfredini, who brings more than 25 years as a home builder and remodeling contractor to the show every week.
The high energy weekly program was created to combine the best of both worlds for television audiences: useful home improvement knowledge and an entertaining look into the projects of real homeowners – featuring six to seven stories in it’s news magazine format.
HouseSmarts was launched on Chicago’s WMAQ/NBC in the spring of 2006 (thanks Larry!) and now reaches over 70% of the country – reaching 375,000 households a week.
“Since day one, the mission has been to give our viewers a chance to not only discover how they can tackle a DIY project, but to also understand how their home works,” said Steve Laux, Executive Producer of HouseSmarts. “Along the way, we’ve expanded our stories into the areas of human interest, food, travel, pets, and automotive as natural extensions of the main goal: to be smarter in life and not just about how to hold a hammer. We’ll keep doing it as long as people will watch and we have interesting stories to tell.”
Each week HouseSmarts answers the questions homeowners really want to know. Nobody adds on a room in one weekend, or lets their neighbors decorate their living room! HouseSmarts follows the progress of real people and lessons learned.
“I spent my career building and renovating homes and want people to learn from me and my mistakes,” said Lou Manfredini, Host of HouseSmarts. “Along with contributors and experts in their fields, we try to get you the straight answers. I am amazed we’ve been through 200 episodes and am so grateful for all who work on our show and especially those who watch HouseSmarts.”
In addition to the TV show, HouseSmarts Radio can be heard live every Saturday morning in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago & San Francisco. Just check your local listings or visit www.housesmartstv.com
